Marketing Executive

This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone to be a key member of our Marketing team to help drive development and execution of our marketing plans across key markets and verticals. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multi-channel lead generation campaigns and new product launches, whilst managing collateral, running email campaigns, creating content and much more.

You will be fundamental in the growth and continuous improvement of our digital marketing strategy and focus on the end-to-end client journey through the planning and activation of marketing activities to achieve acquisition and retention objectives. The goal is to remain competitive in the space and accelerate our initiatives by ensuring that our messaging to clients and prospects is clear and consistent, and our value proposition is compelling. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated an ability to effectively manage and prioritise a multitude of initiatives to ensure consistent delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and overseeing cross-channel marketing campaigns and tactical activities to acquire, engage and promote Freemarket’s products and services to our multiple audiences – financial institutions, enterprises, SMEs and corporations, in the UK and internationally – across the full marketing mix
  • Working closely with the Sales team to plan and execute multi-channel lead generation marketing campaigns
  • Develop, execute, optimise and report on marketing automation campaigns targeting key buyer personas at the right points in their customer journey
  • Assist in the executing and optimisation of Freemarket’s demand generation strategy and ultimately generate qualified leads for the Sales team to enact upon
  • Producing and copywriting for multiple content forms of; Sales/Marketing collateral, email campaigns, newsletters, press releases, website landing pages, blogs, eBooks, product sheets and presentations
  • Work in partnership with Freemarket’s product team to create and/or updating of product collateral, online marketing communications, customer journey communications, and effectively communicating new features and product developments to our audiences
  • Collaborate with sales, product and client experience to build and enhance key buyer personas and segmentation pots and measure results to optimise the lead nurturing workflows for these segments to convert leads into customers, through email, content, and social channels
  • Use a data-driven approach to inform new campaigns and implement constant test and learn strategy, assisting the team with A/B testing and other methodologies
  • Running our day-to-day social media activity across a range of channels
  • Managing and optimising paid social media campaigns such as Google Adwords LinkedIn, Facebook campaigns
  • Help to coordinate our attendance at global conferences, showcasing the brand to its full potential

The person we are looking for:

  • Graduate or equivalent industry experience (2-3 years) – ideally this would be in a B2B, fintech, financial services, payments or tech background
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines, including digital and traditional media, organic and paid, content marketing, brand, and direct
  • Experience of creating marketing metrics and reporting on ROI
  • Experience in end-to-end customer marketing strategy and execution desirable
  • Proactive and results orientated, with the ability to balance multiple projects and spontaneous marketing opportunities that may arise
  • Proven experience delivering multi-channel campaigns and working with a variety of marketing tactics (such as webinars and events, whitepapers, blogs, vlogs, insights etc.)
  • An understanding of PPC advertising and preferably some hands-on experience of running particularly LinkedIn, Facebook and Google Adwords
  • A good understanding of SEO basics
  • Working knowledge of using a CMS, such as WordPress
  • First-hand experience of using HTML and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to mix creative skills with a logical approach
  • The ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Experience writing effective marketing material including presentations and copy
  • Previous experience of managing social media channels, with knowledge of social media management tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout, Brandwatch or similar
